What kind of lighting is used in the command center of an aircraft carrier? I know its blue but need details?
mixmaster2 asked:
In the movie “Behind enemy lines” the aircraft carriers command center is lite blue, this is to help the users eyes with the computer monitors and instruments. Who can tell me what exact lighting this is? I wish to set up my home office with this ambient light.
I have actinic blue flourecent lamp that I use on a aquarium.
What does the military use?

We used red on some of the ships I was stationed on, blue on others. [who] Yak Rider
on my ship we use blue lights, they are throughout the ship, berthing and passageway areas ect. and its not to make the comp screen easier to see, its to keep your night vision, it takes the average person 30 minutes to fully adjust the eyes to see in the dark, operations personel often dont have that time, so blue lights are maintained to allow transit within and without the skin of the ship freely
