I have many more props this year, last year I lacked lighting. I have strobe lights but I just wanted regular lights for some stuff. I just want to plug them in and run the cords. Where do I find them, where they are simple, cheap, and durable? Thanks

I used to use Malibu landscape lights, but found that they were too dim and the tombstone epitaphs that I worked so hard on couldn’t be read from the street. Now I use colored outdoor floodlights in stake floodlight holders and am much happier with the results.

Colored floodlights and stake holders are available at hardware and home improvement stores as well as WalMart. The most likely colors you’ll find are red, amber, blue and green. Lamps are under $10 each, probably closer to $5. [who] dougeebear

Why not check out one of the rental places? You can sort of give them a test drive before deciding on what to buy.

Also, Big Lots usually has a large halogen shop light for not much money. Look in the automotive departments in the stores close by you.
