I’m doing an assignment for my theater class and I’m having trouble finding information. I need an approximate cost for lighting equipment if I were putting on a play at Delacorte Theater in NY. I’ve been trying to find information on how much has been paid in the past for theater lighting at Delacorte Theater. But I’m not having much luck. Any info would be helpful.

So I’m wondering are there any schools that provide a specializes degrees in this field. Should I go for a degree in theater with a concentration in lighting? For people who work in this field how hard is it to find a job, and how well does it pay. I’m not looking to become immediately wealthy, but I would like to know I’d be able to support myself with this job. Are there any websites or resources online that will give me more information???

In a couple months we are having a “battle of the bands” concert, and I’ve never done concert lighting before, just theater.
