What would cause a light fixture to be brighter at times and noticeably not as bright other times?
Andrew asked:
I have a light fixture (a 5 light bulb ceiling hanging dining thing) that seems as bright as a light fixture should be sometimes and dim as if it were on a dimmer set to 50% other times. I can physically see the light bulbs and they are all lit. They’re just your stereotypical style light bulb at an average wattage.
the light bulbs are 12W

How do I install overhead lighting in an old house?
Brandi asked:
I am sectioning off a portion of my living room to create a first floor bedroom for myself. The house is approximately 100 years old and there is no overhead lighting in this area. I would like to install a ceiling fan/light fixture but the ceiling is plaster and there is no access from above to run wiring. Does anyone have any ideas? I thought about creating a tray ceiling and placing can lights around the perimeter maybe?

What’s the difference between VHO Lighting fixtures?
Enjoy Life Eat More Pu$$y! asked:
I am looking to add a second light fixture to my saltwater reef tank. Currently I have a 260 Watt compact lighting system on it and want more lighting. I was thinking about getting a VHO lighting sytem and adding it to my tank but there are T-5, T-6, T-8, and T-12 fixtures. What the diffance between them and are they interchangable?

Ideas for the best lighting for my kitchen?
Cathy asked:
I have a dark kitchen with one small light fixture. My kitchen is not that big and does not have alot of natural light. It has only one small window. What is the best lighting to brighten it up? I have heard Flourescent is the best but I thought that it was ugly and old fashioned. It’s only a small kitchen. Any ideas? I need something to throw out a lot of light. Is it better to get one long light fixture?
