Is a broken light switch where the light stays on dangerous?

I live in an older apartment on the second floor of a house. My landlord has been away for the weekend and I am by no means an electrician so I cannot fix this problem. However, I have a broken light switch. The light in the bathroom is now constantly on and I cannot control it with the light switch. Is this dangerous?
