What lighting and other effects would be used during the tarentella dance (a dolls house)?

I was just wondering, how Ibsen would have created more of an atmosphere during the tarentella dance. what lighting would he have used to show furthur noras state of mind, keeping in mind that the play is very naturalistic and green and purple lights flashing around rapidly as nora dances is not naturalistic.
