When every I hi-light a word with my mouse it has a tendence to capture more things than I want. For example try hi-lighting the middle of one word and continue onto the next. You notice it will automatically select both words. How do i turn this feature off

    Try this:

In versions of Word prior to Word 2007:

    1. Click the Tools->Options menu item.
    2. Click the Edit tab.
    3. Uncheck the “When selecting, automatically select entire word” checkbox.
    4. Click OK.

    In Word 2007:

    1. Click the round Office button in the upper-left corner of the window.
    2. Click the Word Options button.
    3. Click Advanced.
    4. In the Edit group, uncheck the “When selecting, automatically select entire word” checkbox.
    5. Click OK.

Hope that helps. [who] The Phlebob
