Just install a led blue bulb,simple.. [who] David M
It depends upon the type of lighting your speedometer
uses. If you have, as is typical on newer cars, a printed
circuit board where the lights are ‘plugged’ into the board,
you will have to either get the same type of lights in
the color you want, or will need to wire in lights after
you remove the others.
If you have the older type of speedometer you might
be able to use the light socket wiring for new lights
of the same type, or for the wiring of a different light.
Some dash lights today use LED, or the small
‘Grain of Wheat’ type bulbs. Some still use the
typical incandescent bulbs. I would try to get the
type you already have in the color you want, or
go to a craft shop and buy a glass tint paint in
the color, and coat it on your other bulbs. LED
bulbs require a resister in line that may not be
available already attached without an exorbitant
cost for each.
If you are extremely lucky, your speedometer
will be using only one or two of some type of
bulb, and a fiber optic network to distribute the
light to the areas of need. Then just use the
color bulbs and type you need to plug into
the slots, or place so that the light shines
directly onto the end of the fiber optic rod. [who] Dave J
