What is the internal storage drive light and why is it flashing?

On the right front at the very edge are 5 little lights. 1 is ac power light, 2 is on/off light, 3 is low battery light,4 is internal storage drive light,5 is memory card reader light. My question is what is INTERNAL STORAGE DRIVE LIGHT and why is it blinking? Please help!
