Can anyone recommend a good but simple lighting rig and controller?

The controller has to be simple so nothing elaborate. We only want to be able to switch the lights on and off and fade between colours. The users will have very little experience of these things so it has to be basic.

Here’s a link to a company that sells a great plug-and-play kit containing 5 feet of color-changing LED strip light, a color controller and a plug-in adapter:
