Cure for Optimism asked:

I’m moving into an apartment that doesn’t have celing fans or lighting in the bedrooms. Since I’m a college student and will probably be up late doing homework in my room, what kind of lamp would provide optimal lighting?

My eyes aren’t very good in dim lighting, so I’d like something that will make my room pretty bright.

I believe I saw it on MTV a couple years ago. No idea about artist, title, or even type of music. All that I can remember is the curtains and bed lighting on fire, and someone walking around during it. Anybody know?

Wanting to install some lights in my kitchen, and I was wondering what lighting will give me the truest color the food (such as knowing how done meat is). I’ve cooked in some lightings where steak may look rare, but when brought into natural lighting it is quite the opposite. Thankyou.

Honestly, this is killing me. I’m trying to adjust the lighting in one single layer on photoshop, but it ends up effecting all the layers below it like the base layer which I don’t want to change. I lock it and the lighting adjustments still effect it, but I just want to edit ONE layer above the base. How do I do that?

Ross M asked:

I have recently purchased a large quantity of lighting gels for film and stage productions and am wondering how most people end up organizing them to keep them from scratching and deteriorating quickly. These are standard 21″ by 24″. Currently, the gels came in a large metal box of the same dimensions, but I fear they may deteriorate quicker and this, of course, is very cumbersome when searching through to find particular colors, as 300+ gels stacked on top of each other gets quite heavy.

How do you adjust the xenon lighting on a 2003 jaguar s type V6? the light is always pointed straight down and does not provide any illumination. I already tried screwing in the screws that change the angle of the flaps on the lights but that did not help.

I’m just curious. The official hurricane season starts June 1st. Hurricanes come with lighting. I’m not sure if the oil would light on fire because the waters would be churning, but it’s a curious scenario.
