What would happen if a light source was lite in a mirrored sphere?

I’ve wondered about this before. It’s purely hypothetical and some variables must have restraints placed on them eg. the light source can’t absorb any energy nor can it impead the reflection. Second one has the ability to look in without light escaping.

That said if a white light went off inside a mirrored sphere what would be the resulting effect. There would be infinite recursion from a infinite number of angles. Would interferance of various wavelengths cause a color shift or would there be a centralized ball of light.

I am going to use a 30 degree flood, 60 watt, par 16 for the rest of the recessed lights and am wondering if I should use the same for the wall washer. I am trying to light up a fireplace.

What part of the plant needs light to make it grow?

I’m going to hang a plant (some kind of trailing ivy) in my kitchen and as it grows I plan to trail it along my ceiling. My concern is that it won’t get enough light if I put it there. Right now the whole thing is in front of a window and so it gets light daily. If I move it to the kitchen, I can put the base of it infront of the window to get light but all the parts trailing around my kitchen won’t really get any light, So, does the new growth need light, just the base of the plants where the roots are or the whole thing? Thanks!
so, all the leaves or just the new growth?

Since these lights turn on when its dark, and turn off when its in the presence of light, what would happen? If it turns on since the mirrors block out the light, then the light reflected would turn the light off, causing what to happen?

What makes light not be able to escape a black hole?

Mel asked:

I’ve read over and over again that nothing travels faster than the speed of light. My question is this: if the force of a black hole is so strong that not even light can escape it, then might that mean that whatever “force” in the black hole travels faster than light itself? Forgive me for not fully researching before I ask… I know the answer’s probably just a google away, but it’s always cool to get opinions from real people.

Thanks!

How much light do guppies need or prefer?

Gumdrop Girl asked:

I keep my guppies in the kitchen, but it’s dark in there. They don’t show any problems from being kept in the dark all day, but they really perk up when I come home and turn the lights on. A lot of fish don’t do well with direct light, but should I leave the lights on while I’m at work? I’d prefer not to waste electricity, but if it keeps my guppies happy… Your thoughts, please.

So what do you guys think???

Will i be getting a ticket and if i do what’s the ticket going to look like since i was also on the cell phone?

Can i get away with it somehow?
