Sid B asked:

For Architecture class I am building a model of the house I designed. I am planning on including lighting. What is the best way to go about doing this? In elementary school we cut up a strand of christmas lights and connected them to a 6v battery to light up a little shoebox house. Will this work for me or is there a more efficient way to go about this?
Any suggestions are welcome, Thanks

This seems like very difficult lighting to capture a subject in, with enough light in the foreground to light the subject, but also dark enough that it looks almost evening. Any suggestions? Thanks!

My girlfriend says the lighting in our bathroom sucks, and I tend to agree. We are in a rental, so doing any kind of electrical work is out of the question. Is there some type of good bathroom lighting that comes with a cord to just plug it in? Perhaps a 3 bulb track lighting type thing? I’m electrically challenged, so any help would be gratefully appreciated.

How many different patterns of lighting can you set up?

This problem is a base conversion problem masquerading as a “word problem”. You are responsible for controlling the stage lights at a small theater. The control box has control switches for 10 separate lights, and each switch can make its corresponding light off, red, green, yellow, or blue. How many different patterns of lighting can you set up? Express your answer as a power!!!

Yeah, just got one of this babies yesterday, and so far the only real problem I have with it is the lighting. I’m not really sure how you can change the contrast, or if you can change it for that matter, so and help would be appreciated. :)

We suffer from seasonal depression and I am looking into buying full spectrum lighting. Light boxes and therapy lamps are very expensive so I am wondering if regular lamps with full spectrum bulbs would have the same affect.

I run lighting for some productions at a junior high and I’m wondering what the name is for the connection of the controls. There are three wide connectors (probably 15 to 25 pins apiece arranged similar to a pre-USB printer connector) and one 5-pin connector (not DMX) that go from the board to the wall. The wide connectors are labeled for <1-24>, <25-48>, .

Ideally, I’d like to see if there’s some way to convert whatever this protocol is to DMX for use with more current consoles.
